The Repalloy Story
Repco developed the Repalloy process in 1996. This innovative technology is designed to extend contact life and improve performance. Whether the contact material is copper, copper alloy, silver or silver alloy, it can be Repalloy treated. Laboratory and field tests show a life that’s more than double the normal expectancy for silver-tipped contacts.

In an independent laboratory test, Repalloy treated contacts outlasted the original OEM product 2.68 times. The test was performed and certified by Environ Labs of Minneapolis, MN. Two 25 amp DC contactors were subjected to 54 amps. The untreated OEM contacts lasted 257,748 cycles. The Repalloy-treated contacts lasted 691,548 cycles.

Electrical maintenance personnel, at a steel company, were replacing contacts on a pollution control contactor every two months.  Each set of OEM contacts cost $300. per pole. The contactors were three poles. With Repalloy-treated contacts, the yearly material cost savings totaled more than $5000. per contactor.
